The War Memorial Park in the Port of Muskogee features the USS Batfish, a WWII submarine, as well as an army tank, cannons, missiles and a Veterans tribute. The museum and Batfish is open year round, hours vary between winter and summer.
Honor Heights Park is considered the crown jewel of Muskogee's park system and hosts some of the city's well-attended festivals, such as the Azalea Festival in April and the Garden of Lights in winter. The 132-acre (53-ha) park features nature and running trails, an arboretum and several gardens, five lakes and ponds, a splash pad, picnic areas, sports courts, a pavilion and gift shop.
