The Tom Mix Museum is situated in Dewey and showcases the professional life of Tom Mix, the "King of the Cowboys" of the silent screen movies. The museum is operated by the Oklahoma Historical Society and displays Mix's costumes, memorabilia, photographs and some of his personal property, as well as running silent movies starring Mix in the museum's theater. Open Tuesday through Sunday, winter hours vary.
Prairie Song is an 1800s recreated pioneer village with a two-story saloon, homestead cabin, schoolhouse and school marm's house, chapel, trading post, rock jail house, covered bridge and more, all surrounded by an authentic working ranch. Escorted and unescorted tours available for the public or groups, advance notice required.
